7 Ways to Make Money Online From Home for Free in 2023

There are lots of popular money-making ideas that always pop up. Ideas that promise you to make money fast.

Do they work?

Not really. 

Will you make money doing it? 

Maybe. 

But in most scenarios, you’d make more money from your 9 to 5 job. And it’s a guaranteed paycheck.

However, there are still real ways to make money online.

And millions of people are doing it each day across the globe.

I’m one of them.

To be honest, you can make money online even without investing a penny, but it takes hard work and consistency.

And one important thing you should know.

None of these 7 different ways I will show you in this video is a passive income.

For me, passive income does not exist.

You still need to invest time and skills to create a nice second income.

If you are still interested, then there are plenty of business ideas you can try at home, even for free, just with your laptop and an internet connection. 

So let’s take a look at 7 ways to make money online… the real way. 

Make Money Online From Home for Free in 2022

Fiverr

Perhaps the easiest way to make money online for free is by starting selling your skills on Fiverr.

It is free to join and the earnings are unlimited. 

If you’re a writer, virtual assistant, graphic designer, teacher, developer, etc., you can market these skills and find clients online who are willing to pay you for them.

When you start on Fiverr, you will be paid 5 dollars per gig, which is another word for the project.

Despite what you think, you can earn way more than five dollars a job with Fiverr.

Some freelancers are paid hundreds and even thousands of dollars. So as you can see, Fiverr’s infamous five-dollar reputation is thankfully long gone.

Fiverr is one of the most popular sites for finding online jobs and services. Because of this, this marketplace is quite competitive.

To make money online as a freelancer, you need to start by building out a strong portfolio. 

That may mean doing some low-paid work (5-dollar gigs) and getting a few positive reviews to start.

Once you gain a strong portfolio and review, you can start selling your skills for more money. 

Try Print on Demand

Selling artwork on print-on-demand marketplaces such as Redbubble, Merch by Amazon, Etsy, Spreadshirt or Zazzle is popular these days. 

Many graphic designers are using these platforms to sell their designs on clothing and other products to better monetize their art. 

If you are a good artist, with a unique design style, you can create a consistent and established brand for your business.

And even if you are not a designer, you can easily use free tools like Canva to create awesome-looking designs, and start selling your artwork on marketplaces like Redbubble, Teepublic, Spreadshirt, or Zazzle, which are completely free to join.

However, the biggest earnings potential can be made with Merch by Amazon and Etsy.

Unfortunately, Merch by Amazon is by invitation only and they are accepting just around 10% of all the people who are willing to join. 

On the other hand, Etsy is free to join, no invitation is needed, but you need to pay for your listings. So, it is not free. 

And one more thing.

Amazon KDP is quite a popular method of making money online right now. It is free, and simple to start, but the competition is tough.

At the moment, I created almost a hundred low-content books and most notebooks on Amazon, and even though it didn’t make me rich, I still make some money from it.

Find a niche, create an interior and cover it with free tools like Canva.

Or use paid tools like Book Bolt, which I’m currently using. This tool saves me a lot of time and creating a low content book with these tools is a matter of minutes. 

Start a YouTube Channel

If other creators can make a living from YouTube, so can you.

Yes, YouTube is still a great place to start your side hustle. 

Start a channel that is focusing on a single niche and build a strong, loyal audience.

And be consistent.

This is really all you need.

You can create videos just with your phone, and after you will be able to monetize your channel, then you should upgrade your gear. 

The main secret to making money on YouTube is to create content people want that either educates or entertains.

Create eye-catching thumbnails, and clickbait titles, and use keywords that are optimized for YouTube search.

Once you’ve reached the 1,000 subscriber milestone and 4000 watch hours, you can officially monetize your channel with ads.

However, growing your YouTube channel to reach the monetization requirements takes time and a lot of effort.

You need at least 30 videos to get a visible increase of views, so you should expect months of hard work.

Make Money with Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing and a Youtube channel are a great combination.

Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular ways to make money online. The best part about affiliate marketing is that you can be an affiliate for nearly any company that offers an affiliate program. From Amazon to Walmart to Shopify to Webull. 

The potential earnings are unlimited. 

Affiliate marketing allows you to earn money by promoting other brands. You earn a commission from sales by promoting retail products, software, apps, and more.

While earning a commission may seem small, keep in mind that you can be an affiliate for several brands and include several affiliate links on a single blog post or YouTube video.

A lot of YouTube creators are making more money from affiliate links below their videos than from YouTube ads.

If you already have a good smartphone, you can monetize your photography and video footage taken with your smartphone in several ways.

You can upload your images and videos to any one of a number of huge databases, allowing magazine editors, designers, or any organization with a website to buy them. 

Of course, selling photography and stock videos is not as easy as uploading some clips and calling them a day. It is a marathon, not a sprint.

It takes discipline and persistence in order to build a wide-ranging portfolio. 

However, the beauty of stock websites is that your photos and videos can be sold any number of times. So, once you upload your work, you can continue to make money without any additional effort.

You’ll be instructed on the quality of articles, niche, and a number of words while making a deal.

You can also make money writing on Medium. This is a publishing platform that pays you for writing and publishing articles. It is free, simple, and can make you a nice extra income.
