How to Start YouTube Channel Using AI Tools

A YouTube channel is a great way to share your passion with the world.

Just like blogging, you can use it to share videos on topics that interest you.

Unlike blogging, YouTube offers the opportunity to post videos that are made specifically for entertainment purposes.

Building YouTube Channel Is Not Easy

Since YouTube is now looking for original content creators, it’s never been easier to make your own channel and start making money from your passion project.

However, building a successful YouTube channel takes time and effort. It’s tough to get started when you’re not sure which direction to take your channel in, what topics to cover, and how to grow your audience.

And what is worse, it’s not always easy to figure out what video to make next, how to edit your videos, or even how to optimize your videos for SEO.

YouTube Automation Can Be Expensive

Since I’m running 3 YouTube channels in 3 different niches, and I am the only person who is creating videos for these channels, I know how much effort and time it takes to release one quality video.

Lately, I’ve been working on the idea that I can start another channel, but time is against me. The day is only 24 hours, and it is hard for me to find a few hours a week to create videos for another channel.

So I started thinking about YouTube automation and running a channel this way. I mean to outsource all the video creation process to other people and just upload the resulting videos to my new channel.

This is a really good way to manage a YouTube channel, but it is very expensive.

When you think about it a little bit, then every video has 5 important steps: research, script, voice-over, editing, and thumbnail.

If you want to hire a single person for every one of these steps then you will pay from 50 to 100 USD for one single video.

And this is a huge investment when you take into account that you need at least 30 videos before you start seeing the success of your work.

And don’t forget the YouTube monetization requirements where you need 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours to get paid by ads in your videos.

Getting monetized can take 6, 12, or even more months.

So, it will be a long-term investment of thousands of dollars.

YouTube Automation With AI Tools

And then one day I discovered that there are AI tools with pretty good results.

Such tools are not cheap but they are still cheaper than outsourcing videos.

So it occurred to me… Can I use some AI tools to make a solid video and save some money?

I already know that some parts of video making I need to do by myself, but still the most costly can be done with artificial intelligence.

Research… I can do it.

Video script…

I found two interesting AI writing tools – Rytr and Jarvis.ai.

According to reviews, Jarvis.ai is the best on the market, but it will cost you over 100 dollars per month if you want to write a script for a longer video.

The other is Rytr. It is a budget AI writing assistant I’ve been using this tool for almost a month and I love it.

It is easy to use, intuitive is a better word, and for a price of 29 USD per month, it is worth every penny.

Right now, I’m using this AI assistant to help me improve articles for my websites, but I’m sure I can write an entire script for longer YouTube videos with Rytr in a few minutes.

Now, I have research and a video script.

The next step, and definitely the most expensive when outsourcing video creation, is voice-over.

To bring you closer to reality, know that for 1000 words you will pay at least 30 dollars. But in most cases, it is way more.

I stumbled around a tool called WellSaid. It is a top-rated voice solution. A modern text-to-speech tool that produces natural-sounding voiceover content.

And according to many reviews, it is the best text-to-speech tool on the market. While the 49 USD per month is not cheap, it is way cheaper than classic voice-over artists.

This is incredible, and I’m looking forward to trying it.

The issue with synthetic voices is that YouTube doesn’t allow monetizing such videos. It is against its terms, and I need to create a narration that sounds very close to a real human.

For this case, I will use Audacity to modify the voice overs from WellSaid.

The next step is video editing. I’m pretty sure I can do that.

And the same applies to thumbnails. With Canva, I can create eye-catching thumbnails.

So, this is my plan for the coming months. I want to see if I can use these AI tools to semi-automate my new YouTube channel.

And to be fair, when I calculate all expenses for all the subscriptions I have… Canva, Storyblocks, Premiere Pro, Rytr, and WellSaid, then all the expenses will be slightly above 100 USD per month.

Which is not bad.

And only the future will show if this project works.
