Earn Money From Blockchain Games (Can Play to Earn MAKE YOU RICH?)

Online crypto gaming has become a phenomenon that can no longer be ignored.

Millions of people across the world play a variety of games and try to earn money these days.

For example, in a virtual world called Axie Infinity, players can earn money by winning battles, selling monsters, breeding creatures, and staking or lending these creatures.

This year, Axie Infinity has been the most profitable game of the year so far. The game has been a billion-dollar industry in just a few months and is still growing rapidly.

While Axie Infinity is a game where you can earn tons of money, at the start, you need to invest your own money.

And I’m talking about a large investment, around 200 dollars.

I don’t want to pay such a huge amount of money for any game, but the concept of playing to earn is an interesting idea for me.

Which Blockchain Games to Play and Make Money

So, I have made research and found three popular games with a huge community, active marketplace, and mainly, games that are almost free to play.

I’m talking about Gods Unchained, Splinterlands, and Thetan Arena.

All games are free to start, while you can spend money here to boost your gameplay and to start earning faster, I don’t want to do it.

The crazy thing about these games is while playing you can earn dedicated crypto tokens which can be easily sent into your crypto wallet and changed into cryptocurrencies.

As I already mentioned, these NFT crypto games have a large community of active users that are ready to spend money on in-game items.

And all these blockchain games are based on hugely popular game genres.

The Splinterlands is a collectible trading card game and the Gods Unchained is a card game very similar to the massively popular Hearthstone online. On the other hand, Thetan Arena is a MOBA-style online game with huge growth potential.

As you can see, I love card games and I know that the market for collectible cards can be huge and full of passionate buyers.

Let’s take a closer look at both blockchain-based games and let me explain why I want to invest my time here.

Gods Unchained

Gods Unchained is a game that is revolutionizing the gaming industry.

This game is the first of its kind to bring blockchain technology to gaming. The game has many features which are all facilitated by blockchain technology.

For example, it enables gamers to verify their ownership of the cards, which are tokenized digital assets on the Ethereum blockchain.

Another example is that through Gods Unchained, players are able to trade cards without any intermediary or third-party intervention at all.

This simply means, you can buy and sell the cards, which range in rarity and value just like physical card games.

However, in this online blockchain world, each non-common card is individually tokenized as a non-fungible token (NFT), which is a digital asset that can be easily verifiably authenticated and bought and sold.

This is the biggest difference between other classic card games, where the cards are part of the game but there is no true ownership of them.

Gods Unchained, on the other hand, lets you buy and sell individual cards, just like physical cards and you can then enter a marketplace to sell them to other players. Like with other physical card games, rare cards can be very valuable.

Splinterlands

Splinterlands is the collectible card auto battler game. The game allows you to build a collection of various cards which are later used to battle other opponents, which is quite similar to Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone.

Splinterlands is quite innovative addition to the play-to-earn games in the NFT world. The game itself operates on the Hive blockchain and belongs to the trading game genre. In Splinterlands, players fight against monsters to get in-game rewards. 

The game also has a marketplace where players can buy, sell and trade their digital assets. Through this, players can have the flexibility to choose a specific digital asset that they need in the game.

Unlike most NFT games on the market, Splinterlands offers the feature of cross-compatibility with other blockchains including Tron, Ethereum, and WAX. Another unique point of Splinterlands is that the game has its own blockchain, which provides in-game stability and frequent upgrades to the card trading game.

Thetan Arena

Thetan Arena is basically a MOBA that focuses on team modes, where the objective is based on eliminating enemy towers and opponents. The game also offers battle royale and single-player modes.

Furthermore, the fact that the game can run on both PCs and smartphones – carrying the progress across platforms – means more accessibility. The graphics aren’t that complex either and don’t require high-end devices or expensive equipment.

As for the possibility of profiting from the game, the issue is a little more delicate. Although it’s sold as a play-to-earn, Thetan Arena basically grants three free characters and “the player to turn” with them should you decide not to put any money into the game.

For those who have a hard time investing in the game, there will be a need to constantly reinvest in characters and study whether it’s worth collecting the accumulated money or using the game’s coins to buy new characters and make more THCs.

As you can see, playing games and earning money can be a new meta in the near future.

For me, these three blockchain games are not played to earn, but they are in a category of play and earn, which is a little different. I’m playing these games to have fun and as an additional bonus, I’m making some money.
